Brenda Schoen, Legal Assistant
Brenda Schoen has more than 30 years of experience as a legal assistant in a general practice law office. Her experience during that time focused mainly in litigation. Brenda joined our staff in May of 2018, specializing in the area of estate planning. Her job includes preparing legal documents, transcription and managing the day to day operations of the office. Brenda and her husband spend their spare time fishing. Brenda also enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
Glen Lunde, Legal Assistant
Glen Lunde was a band and orchestra director for the School District of Waukesha for 37 years, retiring in 2017. He is now the office manager for First Baptist Church of Waukesha since October 2017 and started working for the Law Offices of David J. Carlson in 2018 as a legal assistant. Glen is an active musician, performing with the Wisconsin Philharmonic as tenor trombonist since 1981, and has been their stage manager for 41 years! He is the lead trombonist with the Jazz Express and their manager since 1980 and principal trombone and manager of the Waukesha Civic Band since 1983. He is a master adjudicator and field representative for the Wisconsin School Music Association. He is married to Attorney Sally Lunde, and they enjoy a cottage in Mt. Morris, WI and have a Golden Retriever named Lily.
Nancy Newhouse, Legal Assistant
Nancy Newhouse worked at the Kasdorf Law Firm and decided to retire after 39 years. A year and a half later she found herself interviewing for the Carlson Law Office and is glad she made the decision to get on board! She has been married for 30 years to her husband Jack and they have two grown girls. In her free time she enjoys traveling, going to listen to bands, bike riding, going to classes at the WAC, walking, and watching her daughter’s dog. She also volunteers at Ben Franklin in Menomonee Falls reading with the elementary children.
Oksana Carlson, Bookkeeper
Oksana loves numbers! As bookkeeper for the law offices of her husband, David Carlson, and as Executive Treasurer for First United Methodist Church of West Allis for 15 years, she enjoys the challenges presented by managing the finances of a law office and a large church. With three children and fourteen grandchildren, Oksana and her husband David enjoy spending time with family and watching their grandkids in their various activities. She also enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and the guilty pleasure of Sudoku in the daily newspaper.
